ideja is a design innovation network and a consulting organization that uses the power of design to solve social and environmental problems in Montenegro and the Balkan region. ideja strives to attract global eco minded entrepreneurs and help them create profitable and sustainable businesses demonstrating that they can "do well" while "doing good". This design innovation network will serve as a collaboration ground to initiate creative and innovative projects. Our goal is to enable local people interacting with inspiring and visionary investors and guests from around the world to develop their own ideas, visions and scenarios. ideja will link these parties together and help Montenegro become a place in which a wide variety of people, not just professionals, meet, share ideas, discuss, and learn from each other's experiences. We will straighten Montenegro’s global image as the ecological state by making this country truly sustainable.

Montenegro’s rich natural beauty is ideal for development of tourism and agriculture, and is considered a main potential for economic growth of the country. For these reasons, and to bring the country closer to the EU, Montenegrin government and its citizens should strive to preserve the environment and make the least harmful impact on it.

Our mission at ideja is to help transform Montenegro by promoting projects, services and solutions that are designed, built and operated in a manner that improves the health, well-being, sustainability and productivity of people and the environment.  

Furthermore, ideja’s mission is to facilitate discussion and research on eco-design and environmental, economic, ethical and social considerations in product, service and solutions development and design. ideja is currently working on innovative practices and appropriate technologies for local sustainability in such matters as communication, tourism, energy, transportation, buildings, waste treatment, food, water, and culture. Our goal is to advance the environmental future of Montenegro and inspire the same approach to solutions in other Balkan countries.
